Car Sort Level 31 Solution Walkthrough

Key opening, middle, and finish positions for this route.

Reading The Small Square Loop
Car Sort Level 31 places a compact square road around two packed rows in the center. Three tall garages stand above the loop and another three sit below it. The opening is deceptive because several cars near the top look ready, but the center rows still occupy the only useful turning space.
The safest solution is to open the upper edge, finish the two center rows, and only then use the lower garages. A practical route order is:
black top group -> red top group -> blue top group -> orange center row -> white center row -> cyan lower garage -> purple lower garage -> final blue
Black is the best opener because those cars are already closest to the top exit. Red and blue then remove the remaining pressure above the square. Orange and white should stay grouped: mixing either row with lower colors leaves cars circling the loop without a free garage entrance.
Clearing The Center Without Filling The Ring
- Start with the exposed black cars at the upper-left. Let the group finish before touching the middle. This clears the first garage mouth and gives the top edge of the loop a usable lane.
- Send the red cars from the upper stack. Red is the next blocker across the top. Do not pull orange from the center while red is still travelling around the square.
- Complete the upper blue batch. Blue removes the last crowded section beside the top garages. When this step is correct, the upper road should look mostly empty rather than striped with several colors.
- Clear the orange center row from left to right. Orange occupies the upper of the two inner shelves. Moving it now opens the middle of the square and exposes the white row underneath.
- Finish the white center row. White has a direct route once orange is gone. Keep tapping white until the inner parking area is empty.
- Move cyan from the lower-left garage column. The bottom turn is finally safe because the center no longer feeds cars into it.
- Release purple from the lower-middle column. Purple needs the same bottom edge, so wait until cyan has fully cleared that corner.
- Use the remaining blue cars as cleanup. With the road and central shelves empty, the final blue group can cross without trapping anything behind it.
Checkpoints And Recovery
After the first three groups, all three upper garage entrances should be usable. After orange leaves, the center should show only the pale row; after white leaves, the square should be hollow. Those are more reliable checkpoints than copying taps at a fixed speed.
If the loop becomes crowded, stop opening new garages. Identify the color already travelling on the ring and finish that matching batch first. If orange or white is stuck inside the square, clear the car sitting on the upper turn before touching cyan or purple. The common mistake on Level 31 is starting a lower garage while one center row is still active; that converts the road from a route into temporary storage.
This Car Sort Level 31 solution works because every phase releases a different part of the board: the dark top groups free the north edge, orange and white empty the middle, and the lower colors use a completely open final turn.
