Car Sort: Color Puzzle Level 438 Solution Walkthrough
Route Reference
Key opening, middle, and finish positions for this route.

Read The Chain Layout
The opening board shows cyan and dark green inside top covers, with orange and pale violet appearing later. The central row contains several lock-chain positions, including green, purple, black, red, and yellow markers. Along the bottom, green, pink, cyan, blue, yellow, red, white, and black wait in tall columns.
Use this route reference:
top cyan/green release -> orange and pale violet top stacks -> green bottom-left -> pink bottom column -> cyan and blue bottom columns -> yellow central release -> red and white middle-right -> black and green final cleanup
Every counter movement matters. A bottom column is safe only when its cover is open and the center chain is no longer blocking the road.
Work The Top Towers First
Start with the top-left cyan/green tower. It has the clearest access to the road and lowers the first counter. Orange appears in the upper middle after that, while pale violet becomes visible on the right. Move each top tower as a complete batch.
Do not start bottom green just because it is visible. The top towers are what loosen the chain in the center. If a bottom car enters too early, it waits under the locks and prevents the next counter from dropping cleanly.
The opening checkpoint has the left top cover reduced, orange/pale violet visible above, and the central chain partially lowered.
Unlock The Bottom Row In Pairs
Green from the lower-left is the first useful bottom release. It has a direct path after the top counters shift. Pink follows because it occupies the next tall column and uses the same lower merge. Let pink finish before selecting cyan.
Cyan and blue are the middle bottom pair. Cyan should move first when it is the complete exposed face; blue follows after the cyan column turns dark. These two cool colors open most of the bottom edge.

The replay confirms this shape: top towers are partly empty, the bottom row has clean green/pink/cyan/blue columns, and the central locks have fewer active markers. That is the point where yellow and red can begin to matter.
Use The Central Release
Yellow appears as a central or left-side release after the lower columns reduce the counters. Move yellow when it is fully connected to the road. Red then becomes safer on the middle-right, followed by white.
Red and white should not overlap. They both cross the upper-right and lower-right turns. If red is still traveling, white will wait behind it and make the route look broken.
Black and green form the final lock cleanup. Black may be hidden in a central slot, while green can remain in a top or bottom source. Finish the source that is already feeding the road before starting the other.
Finish Without Reopening The Chain
Near the end, the top towers are mostly dark and the bottom row has only a few tall faces left. Clear the largest complete face first. If yellow is still visible, finish it before black. If black is the only color attached to the middle chain, clear black before returning to green.
The completion screen appears after the last central lock position and bottom column are dark. The final movement in the route reference is a clean sweep across the top road, not a scramble through mixed bottom colors.
Recovery Notes
If the bottom row blocks, find the unfinished column whose color is already on the road. Green, pink, cyan, and blue must each finish as a full column.
If the central chain does not lower, return to the top towers. Cyan, green, orange, and pale violet are the early unlock colors.
If red and white mix, stop using new colors and complete red first unless white is already the only moving group. Level 438 is solved by respecting the lock chain: top unlock, bottom pairs, central release, final cleanup.
