Car Sort: Color Puzzle Level 142 Solution Walkthrough
Route Reference
Key opening, middle, and finish positions for this route.

Working Around The Square Ring
Level 142 uses a large square ring around a red center block, with garages above and stacks feeding both lower corners. Purple and blue open the left side; pale blue clears the upper lane.
Brown and tan then leave the upper stacks. Red should move only when it can use all four sides of the ring without meeting them.
Opening And Midgame Plan
The run starts best when you move the purple and blue cars along the left side of the ring, then clear the pale-blue cars from the upper lane. This is the small move that makes the rest of the board readable.
The middle section is about patience: use the open ring to drain brown and tan from the top and center, then send the red center block as a controlled batch. If a car is still buried, clear only its direct blocker and stay with the same plan.
For the endgame, green on the right and the bottom blue/purple stacks become cleanup. By then every corner of the ring should be open.
Follow These Batches
- Tap through Purple Left-ring Cars first; these cars are the route opener.
- Blue Left-ring Cars comes next because it uses the space created by the opener.
- Keep Pale-blue Upper Lane together instead of splitting it across two road sections.
- Bring out Brown/tan Upper Stacks when the middle lane is no longer carrying mixed traffic.
- Red Center Block is the late release; it becomes reliable after the earlier shelves clear.
- Green/right and Bottom-stack Cleanup is the cleanup phase shown near the end of the video.
Short Order
purple left-ring cars -> blue left-ring cars -> pale-blue upper lane -> brown/tan upper stacks -> red center block -> green/right and bottom-stack cleanup
Before red, walk the ring visually and verify all four corners are empty. Before the bottom stacks, red and green should have stopped circling.
Risk Point
Do not flood the ring from below before the red block has room. If two colors meet, finish the batch that has already crossed the lower-right corner.
Why This Solves The Level
The left and upper groups create a full lap for red. Red then vacates the middle, allowing green and the bottom blue/purple columns to use the ring as separate final batches.
Empty-Ring Test
After purple/blue on the left and pale blue above, trace the square clockwise. Brown and tan should be the only remaining upper traffic. After they park, all four corners must be open before red leaves the center block.
Repeat the full-lap check after red. Green on the right should complete its batch before any lower blue or purple column opens. If a bottom car stalls, look for green at the lower-right corner or red on the inner edge. Finish that color and restore the empty ring. Opening the opposite bottom stack may create movement briefly, but it removes the only corner needed for recovery.
