Narrow Vertical Loop

Level 158 has a narrow loop with packed shelves down the center. The replay shows green and cyan opening the upper-middle route, yellow and orange lowering the center stack, and pink/purple waiting on the right side.

Begin with green in the upper-middle shelf. Then move cyan from the center through the vertical loop. Once that channel is open, clear yellow from the lower-center stack, followed by orange.

Now the right side can finally move. Pull pink from the right-side columns, then finish with the remaining purple/right-side cars.

Recommended order:

green upper-middle -> cyan center -> yellow lower-center -> orange lower-center -> pink right side -> purple right side

The right side is the trap. It looks close to an exit later in the run, but in the opener it is still waiting for the center shelves to clear.

Center Shelf Sequence

The replay segment is the best guide for Level 158. It shows that the narrow vertical loop cannot support right-side traffic until the middle shelves are shorter.

1. Start with green in the upper-middle shelf. Green is the first color that reduces the central stack without forcing the right side open.
2. Move cyan down the center route. Cyan clears the lane that the later lower colors need.
3. Release yellow from the lower-center stack. Yellow becomes useful after green and cyan create a passage through the middle.
4. Clear orange from the same lower-center area. Orange continues the center cleanup and keeps the route focused.
5. Wait on right-side pink until the center is open. Pink is visible, but early pink blocks the narrow loop.
6. Pull pink from the right-side columns. At this point, pink should have a clearer path through the center.
7. Finish with purple from the right. Purple is the late cleanup because it uses the same narrow route after pink leaves.

If your board has right-side pink sitting in the loop too early, stop opening right columns and clear the center shelf color that is directly blocking the vertical lane.

Replay Checkpoints

The Car Sort: Color Puzzle Level 158 solution is easiest to follow from the replay segment. Look for the center shelves shrinking: green opens the upper-middle, cyan clears the vertical route, and yellow/orange reduce the lower-center area. Only after that does the right side become the main source.

If the right-side pink column is available but the center shelves remain high, wait. The route needs a clear vertical lane before pink can travel. If purple appears before pink is finished, do not split the right side into two colors; complete pink first, then finish purple through the same opened route.

One useful checkpoint is the lower-center yellow/orange area. In the video, that area shrinks before the right side becomes active. If your attempt still has a tall yellow/orange block in the lower center, the right-side columns are not ready yet. Clear the lower-center batch first, then use the newly opened vertical lane for pink and purple.
