Two Dense Yards Joined By A Narrow Spine
Car Sort: Color Puzzle Level 212 divides the board into an upper-left yard and a lower-right yard. Both are packed with short horizontal rows, while a narrow vertical road runs between them. A small enclosed garage sits at the upper right, another compact column stands at the lower left, and two tall covered strips occupy the middle. The road bends around the outside of the yards, so cars released from either half eventually compete for the same central spine.
The opening contains many exposed colors—green, yellow, red, cyan, orange, purple, pink, and white—but visibility does not mean availability. The rows closest to the central road must leave first. Deep rows along the outer left and lower-right edges should remain parked until the spine is free. The tall cyan counter in the middle becomes the key transition point; it should not be flooded while both yards are active.
Recommended area route:
upper-left road-edge green/yellow -> red and orange rows -> upper-right green/yellow garage -> center cyan column -> lower-left blue/cyan -> lower-right purple and orange -> green/red bands -> white and pink cleanup
Use the order to choose areas, then follow the color currently occupying the spine. One uninterrupted batch is safer than alternating between two matching-looking rows on opposite sides.
Reduce The Upper-Left Yard From The Road Edge
Start with the short green and yellow groups nearest the top entrance. They can reach the road without crossing traffic from the lower yard. Clear one color completely, then the other. Red becomes the next strong band along the upper-left shelves, followed by orange or cyan as those rows are exposed.
Work from right to left across this yard. The rows nearest the spine are blockers for the rows behind them. Emptying an outer-left row first may reveal more cars, but those cars still cannot turn into the road. A road-edge batch creates actual travel space.
Use these checkpoints:
- Green or yellow reaches its garage and the top bend clears.
- The first red band shortens without orange joining it on the spine.
- The compact upper-right garage receives its matching green/yellow group.
- The upper-left yard shows full color bands rather than scattered mixed ends.
If red stalls at the top bend, complete red from the same visible shelf. Do not tap the center cyan counter to make room. Cyan would enter the blocked spine and remove the last gap.
Treat The Cyan Column As A Gate
The tall cyan strip beside the central road is the most important gate in Level 212. Early checkpoints show only a small cyan group, while later frames show a full cyan column. Clearing it opens the spine between the upper and lower yards.
Wait until upper traffic has settled, then send cyan as one continuous batch. Do not interrupt it with purple from the lower-right rows. Cyan needs the whole vertical road, and a purple car entering from below can meet it at the central turn.
The neighbouring covered strip reveals purple later. Handle that strip layer by layer. If its counter exposes cyan while cyan is already moving, add the matching cars and finish them. If it exposes purple after cyan has cleared, switch only when the road is empty.
The board is ready for the lower phase when the cyan gate is reduced, the top road no longer carries cars, and the middle spine has at least one full empty vertical segment. A partially cleared cyan column is not enough; its remaining cars can still block the lower yard's exit.
Clear The Lower Yard In Horizontal Bands
The lower-right yard resolves into long purple, orange, green, red, cyan, and pink bands. Clear the highest band that directly touches the road, then move downward. Purple is a useful first lower batch because it appears along the central edge after the cyan gate opens. Orange follows when the upper part of the lower yard has space.
Green and red occupy deeper rows. Keep each color together. The route checkpoints show green consolidating into a clean band before red and cyan finish; use that visual state as confirmation that you have not opened the bottom too quickly.
The lower-left compact column contains blue, cyan, white, and other reserve colors. Use it between lower-right batches only when the spine is empty. It is not a second road. Cars from the lower-left column and lower-right yard meet immediately at the bottom bend.
Safe lower order:
- purple at the central edge;
- orange from the next exposed row;
- green once the upper lower-yard rows are gone;
- red after green clears the shared bend;
- cyan or blue through the empty spine;
- white and pink as the final outside rows.
If orange and green enter together, stop opening rows and finish whichever color has already reached the central spine. Once that color reaches its garage, complete the other from its existing shelf. Do not add red as a third batch.
White And Pink Final Cleanup
Late checkpoints show the upper-left yard reduced to clean green, red, yellow, purple, and cyan rows, while the lower-right side retains orange, green, red, cyan, and pink. The tall middle strips are mostly empty. This is the cleanup state: the road is open enough to move complete horizontal bands directly.
White usually appears from the lower-left reserve stack and should use the spine alone. Pink forms a clear bottom row in the lower-right yard. Leave pink until the deeper center colors are gone; its long batch needs the entire lower turn.
Before pink, verify that the center purple strip and cyan gate are empty. If either still contains cars, finish that column first. A late center car can stop the pink row halfway along the road and recreate a jam on an otherwise open board.
For recovery, use geography rather than guessing a new color order. A jam above the middle belongs to the upper-left yard; finish the active upper band. A jam below the middle belongs to the lower-right yard or lower-left column; finish the active lower batch. A jam directly on the spine means two areas were released together, so complete the color farthest along its route before touching either yard again.
Level 212 rewards keeping one yard inactive. The upper-left rows open the top bend, the cyan column unlocks the spine, and the lower-right bands then travel through that cleared route. The small side garages are support groups, not independent phases. Clear road-edge rows first, respect the cyan gate, and the final white and pink cars have a direct path to completion.
