The S-road and three platform clocks

The left block begins with red across the top, followed by pale cyan, orange, green, blue, white, violet, and pink shelves. The right platform starts with red and pink above deeper white, yellow, green, and cyan groups. The bottom platform is reached only through the long lower hook, so anything parked in the central lane can cut it off.

A useful route reference is:

top red shelf → right pink and white platform → lower green/cyan handoff → blue and pale-cyan shelves → violet shelf → orange middle → yellow platform → final red/blue road cars

The platform number changing is the safest checkpoint. Do not open a new left shelf merely because its front car can move; wait until the active platform has accepted its batch.

Work down the shelves, not across them

Begin with red from the exposed top shelf. Let those cars use the upper bend and finish the first red platform requirement. This reduces the upper marker and clears the entrance beside the top station. Starting pink from the bottom row at the same time is tempting, but it sends traffic into the far end of the same S-road before red has vacated it.

When the right platform shows pink, release the visible pink group from the lower shelf. Pink opens a large empty strip near the bottom-left of the board. White follows on the right platform; clear the pale cars from their shelf and allow the station to rotate again. The middle of the successful route is defined by that right platform changing cleanly from one full color to the next.

Green and cyan then use the lower half. Finish green before sending the longer cyan batch around the bottom hook. Cyan needs the full central lane, and a green leftover near the right platform can turn the route into a two-way queue.

After the lower hook is stable, take blue and pale cyan from the newly exposed shelves. Violet becomes available underneath them. Keep violet together until its row is gone; removing only its front cars leaves a shallow shelf that blocks orange without completing a useful garage batch.

Orange and yellow close the level

Orange is the late middle release. Clear the orange shelf and any matching cars already circulating on the outer road. This opens the last covered rows and makes the bottom platform practical rather than risky.

Yellow should be saved for the final platform cycle. Its cars travel down the center and around the lower hook, so they are safest after orange and violet have stopped using that route. The remaining red and blue road cars are cleanup traffic once all three platform markers have counted down.

If the right side jams, look at the platform color and complete that exact shelf. If the bottom hook is blocked, stop tapping the left block and finish whichever cyan, green, orange, or yellow batch is already in the vertical lane. When the top platform remains closed, return to the first incomplete red or blue group rather than opening a deeper color.

Follow the three delivery checkpoints

The opening checkpoint is reached when the red row has disappeared from the upper-left shelves and the short road beneath the top platform is clear. This is more useful than counting individual cars. A red car may arrive a little earlier or later depending on tap timing, but the board should still have one uninterrupted lane between the left shelves and the top corner. If pink is already waiting in that lane, pause and finish red before doing anything else.

The second checkpoint comes after pink and white have both been accepted on the right. The right platform should have changed its visible face, and the lower-left pink strip should be noticeably shorter or empty. This is the moment to look at the central vertical road. It needs to be almost empty before green begins. A white car left on the bend is especially troublesome because the long green batch approaches the same corner from below.

The lower-hook checkpoint arrives after green and cyan. Cyan is the better visual marker because its cars stretch farther around the bottom curve. Wait until the last cyan car has crossed the vertical lane and entered its garage. Only then is it safe to use the blue and pale-cyan shelves uncovered in the middle-left block. This delay may look conservative, but it prevents the lower bend from holding two incomplete colors.

A practical move-by-move route

1. Clear the exposed red shelf at the top-left. Keep selecting red until the top platform accepts the complete opening group.
2. Send the lower-left pink shelf toward the right platform. Do not mix white into the road while pink still occupies the upper-right turn.
3. Complete the white shelf when white becomes the active right-side requirement. Its departure clears the narrow shoulder beside that station.
4. Release green into the lower half of the S. Green should own the bottom route until its full group is parked.
5. Move the cyan group around the long hook. Watch the central lane, because a single cyan car remaining there means the batch is not done.
6. Clear blue from the newly exposed left shelves, followed by the paler cyan row. These are middle-board releases, not permission to open every deeper shelf.
7. Empty violet as one shelf. Violet removes the layer that prevents the orange cars from reaching the road cleanly.
8. Run orange through the now-open middle and finish any matching orange cars already visible near a platform.
9. Commit yellow to the bottom platform cycle. Yellow gets the widest route only after violet and orange have stopped circulating.
10. Finish the last red or blue road cars according to the color currently displayed by the remaining platform.

Recovering a blocked S-road

If the central lane is occupied from both directions, do not keep tapping the left shelves. Identify which color has more cars already on the road and finish that group first. In most failed openings this is red or pink; in the middle it is usually green or cyan. Completing one batch restores the lane, while adding a third color makes the queue harder to unwind.

If the lower hook fills before the right platform changes, the mistake happened one phase earlier. Finish the white or pink requirement on the right, let those cars leave the shared bend, and only then resume the lower batch. When the board differs from the route reference because one shelf was opened early, use the platform face as the authority: feed its matching color and ignore newly exposed shelves until the station rotates.

The final cleanup should never require guessing. By then the left block is shallow, the central road is open, and the remaining platform face points directly to yellow, red, or blue. Complete that color rather than selecting the largest remaining shelf.
