Read the U as one shared lane

The left bank begins with purple, pink, blue, and red layers. The right bank exposes cyan, green, orange, yellow, and white around numbered cells. Additional colors appear behind both sides as the counters fall. Although the two banks look independent, every car uses the same rounded bottom turn.

Use this route:

left purple → pink upper face → right cyan/blue → green right row → orange-yellow pair → returning left red/purple → white center face → lower cyan-green → pink-blue release → final orange-yellow cleanup

Finish one side before crossing to the other. The bottom of the U must be dark at every handoff.

Open the left arm

Clear purple from the upper-left face, then pink. These groups create two dark slots and free the top of the U. Move cyan from the right only when the last pink marker has disappeared.

Blue follows cyan when it occupies the connected right face. Green is broader and should leave after both cool-color groups. At the first checkpoint, the left opening is dark, the right upper rows are reduced, and the U contains no car.

Drain orange and yellow

Orange and yellow become complete on the right after green leaves. Clear orange first if it sits on the inside column, then yellow. Do not start a returning red face from the left during the yellow animation.

The orange-yellow pair opens deeper left layers. Red should leave first, followed by purple. These repeated colors use a different counter from the opening faces, so treat them as fresh complete batches.

Use white as the midpoint reset

White appears near the center of the bank after red and purple. Clear it immediately while the U-road is empty. Its short batch creates a clean midpoint and exposes lower cyan and green faces on the right.

Finish cyan, wait, then clear green. If green already touches the road and cyan remains covered, follow the connected face but never mix the two. Their removal releases pink and blue from the lower-left bank.

The late checkpoint shows dark upper rows on both sides, an empty bottom turn, and only solid lower faces remaining.

Final lower exchange

Pink should leave before blue when it owns the left entrance. Blue follows through the empty U. Orange and yellow often return as the last two right-side faces. Finish orange, allow the road to reset, then drain yellow.

A short red, white, or cyan group may appear behind the final counter. Take the fully exposed face closest to the open arm and complete it without changing sides.

Recovery advice

A jam on the left arm belongs to purple, pink, returning red-purple, or the lower pink-blue pair. A blockage on the right points to cyan, blue, green, orange, yellow, white, lower cyan-green, or the final orange-yellow pair. Cars stopped around the bottom turn identify whichever bank switched too early.

Complete the visible source on the same side as the stranded marker. Do not open the other bank to search for a matching color. If a counter does not fall, inspect the current face for one remaining car hidden behind a dark cell.

When two colors share the U, stop tapping and finish the earlier batch. Restart only if neither matching face can release enough cars and both arms are blocked. Most mixed states recover once the earlier group reaches its garage.

Before completion, verify the upper layers on both banks are dark, the rounded turn is empty, and only one solid lower face remains. Drain that face continuously. Level 396 succeeds by controlled direction changes: purple-pink clears the left, cyan-blue-green-orange-yellow clears the right, red-purple-white resets the middle, and cyan-green-pink-blue opens the final warm-color cleanup.

If two cleanup faces become visible together, choose the one whose bank already owns the empty U entrance. Finish it, wait for the counter and road markers to settle, and then reverse direction once for the last group.

Direction-change checkpoints

After opening purple-pink, the left arm should be dark before cyan enters from the right. After cyan-blue-green-orange-yellow, the right arm and rounded turn should be empty before red returns from the left. After red-purple-white, the center should show a clean dark gap before lower cyan-green begins.

Use these direction changes as your progress markers. If the rounded turn still carries a color, remain on that side and complete the corresponding face. A newly revealed group on the opposite bank is only a preview until the U is clear.

For the lower pink-blue and orange-yellow exchange, reverse direction only once. Finish both connected faces on the current side when the road allows, let the turn empty, then drain the opposite cleanup side. This prevents a final marker from being stranded at the base of the U.

Before the last reversal, inspect the full U from one arm to the other. The opening purple-pink faces, the large right-side warm-color rows, and the white midpoint must all be dark. Only the lower connected faces should retain color. If a marker sits at the rounded base, finish its source and wait; reversing while that marker remains blocks both arms.

The final orange or yellow face should enter an otherwise empty road. Clear every car from the same column, allow the last marker to reach its garage, and confirm that no blue or pink remainder appears on the opposite side. If a final small face is revealed, take it only after the U has returned to a completely dark state.
