Car Sort: Color Puzzle Level 397 Solution Walkthrough
Route Reference
Key opening, middle, and finish positions for this route.

Read the two switchbacks
The upper towers expose red, orange, blue, and purple. A yellow shelf stretches across the first bend, while pale white or cream fills the second. The bottom bank shows green, cyan, pink, and blue behind numbered faces. The road must be empty at both bends before traffic changes from a tower to a shelf.
Use this route:
upper red → orange tower → blue upper face → first yellow shelf → purple center row → white middle band → lower green/cyan → returning red-orange → pink lower face → second yellow-white wave → final blue-green cleanup
Repeated colors are new shelf depths. Finish the connected face; never collect a same-colored group across two levels.
Open the upper S
Clear red from the first tower, then orange. Blue follows when the top bend is dark. Wait after blue, because yellow becomes visible across the road before the final marker has necessarily disappeared.
Drain the first yellow shelf continuously. Purple then opens in the center and should leave through the empty upper bend. At the first checkpoint, the top towers are mostly dark, yellow and purple have left broad shelf gaps, and the lower switchback contains no car.
If orange remains on the curve, complete its tower before yellow. A wide shelf cannot rescue a partial tower batch.
Clear the white middle band
White or cream spans the second switchback. Start it only when purple has vanished, then finish the entire face. Its empty shelf is the buffer for green and cyan from the lower garages.
Clear green from the side already touching the road, wait for both bends to reset, and then drain cyan. Do not alternate these lower faces; their cars enter the same inner corner.

Handle the returning warm-color towers
Red and orange reappear in deeper top layers. Red normally owns the inside bend and should leave first. Orange follows after the double S is completely dark. Their removal exposes pink below and prepares the second yellow-white release.
Pink is a short reset group. Clear it immediately when its face becomes complete. Then drain the returning yellow shelf, wait, and finish white. These two broad faces must not overlap; each sends enough cars to occupy both switchbacks.
The late checkpoint shows dark towers above, two long empty middle shelves, and only solid blue or green columns near the bottom.
Finish the lower pair
Blue and green are the usual final substantial faces. Choose the one whose entrance is already joined to the empty lower bend. Complete it, wait until the road is still, and then take the other. A short cyan, purple, or red remainder may appear after the last counter.
Do not switch because the other counter changes early. Follow the moving markers around both bends and start the next face only when none remain.
Recover from a blocked switchback
A jam at the upper bend belongs to red, orange, blue, yellow, or purple. A car stopped in the lower bend points to white, green, cyan, pink, returning yellow-white, or the blue-green finish. Complete the source attached to that section.
If both bends hold different colors, finish the earlier group and leave the later source untouched. A counter that refuses to change usually has one car hidden in the adjacent face. Restart only if neither source is accessible.
Before completion, verify the top towers and both middle shelves are dark, both switchbacks are empty, and one solid bottom face remains. Drain that face in one pass. Level 397 works by turning each broad shelf into buffer space: red-orange-blue opens yellow, purple opens white, green-cyan releases the returning warm colors, and pink unlocks the final yellow-white and blue-green sequence.
Use three visual checks if your replay state differs. After opening, the upper bend must be dark. After white-green-cyan, the lower bend must be dark. After the second yellow-white wave, the entire S must be empty from top entrance to bottom garage. Stay in the current phase until its check is satisfied.
Separate the first and returning color faces
Yellow and white appear in more than one part of the route. The first yellow belongs to the upper release, while the later yellow-white pair enters from below. Use shelf orientation to distinguish them: horizontal faces are part of the middle switchback; vertical faces belong to the bottom garage wave.
Blue and green also return late. Clear the source aligned with the current empty bend. Starting a distant copy because its color matches a road car can send the same color through both bends and still block the narrow center.
At every repeat, finish the complete face closest to the active road marker. Wait until the marker disappears, then accept the deeper layer exposed by the counter.
For the last delivery, trace the route from the colored face through both empty bends. No earlier marker should interrupt that line. If the route is clean, the group will travel straight to its garage and the completion counter will fall without another release.
The last face should stand alone below a dark top crown and two dark middle shelves. If another color remains visible at a bend, complete that local row first. This final pause prevents the outside column from catching a delayed car in the lower reversal.
Keep both bends empty until the completion animation begins.
Proceed carefully.
Before the final blue-green cleanup, inspect both switchback pockets. Each must remain dark for a full moment; a colored tail belongs to the second yellow-white wave and should clear first.
