Identify the five shelf lanes

The opening stack contains red and blue along the top shelf, green and blue on the second, purple in the middle, pale blue and brown below, and cream across the lowest usable row. The black covered cells are not empty road space. They are locked parts of the shelves and will reveal deeper colors only after the visible groups have been parked.

Two small covered garages sit above the loop, and four groups wait below it. The right edge is the main merge point. Cars leaving a shelf turn onto that edge before circulating around the square, so even a short unfinished batch can stop the next row from entering.

Follow this broad order:

opening red top row → blue top-right → green second shelf → purple middle → pale-blue lower shelf → cream bottom shelf → brown release → upper pink → upper red → lower cyan → lower pink and green → returning blue-purple shelves → final white, cream, red, and green columns

Use the order as a set of checkpoints, not a reason to tap a covered group. Move a color only when its whole visible face is open and the right-hand merge is clear.

Empty the upper shelves before opening the bottom

Begin with the red group on the top shelf. It has the shortest path to the perimeter and clears space beside the upper blue cars. Wait until red has left the top-right corner, then move blue. Blue needs a complete lap because its matching garage is not directly beside the shelf.

Green is next from the second shelf. The green face is broad enough to reveal a useful dark strip when cleared. Purple follows from the central row after the road resets. Do not mix green and purple along the right edge; they enter from neighboring shelves and neither can pass the other.

At the first checkpoint, the upper two shelves should have large dark gaps and purple should either be complete or be the only color on the road. The lower outside garages should still be covered. If cyan has already been opened from below, pause and finish the shelf traffic before releasing it.

Clear pale blue and cream to unlock the lower half

The pale-blue row becomes safe once purple is gone. Clear all pale-blue cars from their exposed shelf. A brown car may appear at the far end, but brown should wait until the pale-blue marker has completed its circuit.

Cream fills the lowest central shelf. This is one of the longest uninterrupted groups on the board, and removing it creates the main horizontal buffer for the rest of the level. Drain cream continuously. When the row turns dark, the bottom covers begin to open and a cyan column becomes usable.

Brown is the handoff between the inner shelves and the outside garages. Clear the complete brown face nearest the right exit. Its departure exposes more of the middle shelves and prevents brown traffic from meeting the upcoming cyan group at the lower-right bend.

Use the upper towers as counter resets

Pink appears in the first useful upper tower. Clear it only after the right edge is empty. Pink enters from above and needs the top corners, whereas the previous shelf batches used the same corners on their way to a garage. Let pink finish before opening the neighboring red tower.

Red then forms a tall upper column. It is separate from the small opening red row. Drain this new red batch from top to bottom, wait for the final marker to leave the lower edge, and check the center covers. Several dark cells should now have changed into solid blue, green, purple, or cream faces.

A later green tower appears above the loop. Do not take it merely because the column is visible. First clear the connected inner shelf that has become complete. The outside green batch is most useful after that shelf has opened the entire right approach.

Organize the four bottom garages

Cyan is normally the first fully available lower column. Move it as a single group and preserve the empty space it leaves beneath the loop. Pink and green open next. Clear whichever column has a complete face and a direct lower entrance, but never alternate them. Pink usually uses the left part of the bottom edge, while green needs the right corner.

An orange or brown lower garage may appear after the next counter change. Reserve it until the center row of the same phase is gone. The bottom garages look independent, yet all four converge on one narrow stretch of road. Opening two of them at once creates a queue that cannot be repaired with another color.

The middle checkpoint has the top towers extended into solid pink and red columns, the bottom groups showing cyan, pink, and green, and the central shelves reduced to blue, green, purple, and cream. The numbered black cells should be gone or nearly gone. If a cover still remains, complete the shelf immediately above or below it before using another outside tower.

Work back through the revealed shelf colors

Blue returns across an upper-middle shelf. Clear it before purple because blue sits closer to the right exit. Purple follows from the next full row. A green face becomes visible below; wait for purple to leave all four corners and then drain green.

Cream or white spans the lower shelf late in the route. Treat the light colors carefully because they are easy to confuse at a glance. Follow the position shown by the open shelf: the complete row nearest the exit goes first, while a small light-colored group in an outside garage waits for its own phase.

Red may return in a central row after blue and purple. This deeper red group is safe only when the upper red tower is already dark. Clear it continuously, then look for a broad empty band through the middle. That band is the sign that the final outside columns can enter without being trapped.

Finish with one vertical garage at a time

The late board presents tall red and green columns above, plus cyan, pink, brown, or pale-blue garages below. Choose the column attached to the empty side of the road. Complete it, wait for the perimeter to darken, and then move to the opposite side.

If cream remains across the bottom shelf, clear it before the last green tower. Cream occupies more of the right merge and benefits from the empty loop. Green can then complete a clean final lap. A small pink or blue group may be the last exposed face; finish it without reopening any dark shelf.

The completion checkpoint is unmistakable: all five central shelves show broad dark lanes, both upper bays are empty, and only one lower garage face retains color. The final cars should move continuously around the square. If they pause at a corner, one car from the previous batch is still traveling or its source is incomplete.

Repair shelf and corner jams

When traffic stops on the right straight, locate the shelf aligned with the stalled marker. Finish that row before touching an upper or lower tower. The right edge is shared by every shelf, so a new outside color cannot create space there.

A queue at the top belongs to pink, red, green, or another upper garage. Complete the active top column. A queue along the bottom belongs to cyan, pink, green, brown, or the lower outside face currently open. Keep the central shelves inactive until that column is dark.

If a covered shelf refuses to open, check the complete rows directly around it. A remaining blue, purple, pale-blue, cream, or brown car usually controls the counter. Matching cars in an outside tower do not reduce that shelf until their own garage has unlocked.

If you accidentally mix two colors, stop tapping and let the moving batch advance. Complete its matching face, then drain the second color after the road opens. Restart only if both groups are stationary at different corners and neither remaining source can be reached.

Level 404 is a shelf-by-shelf puzzle disguised as a crowded square. Red and blue open the top, green and purple remove the middle pressure, pale blue and cream create the lower buffer, and the pink-red-cyan outside groups unlock the deeper rows. Finish the returning shelves from the right exit outward, save each vertical garage for a clean perimeter, and the final light and green groups will have an uninterrupted route home.
