Upper And Lower Bays Around An Empty Square

Car Sort Level 54 looks open because the middle contains a large empty square, but the real pressure comes from eight covered bays along the top and bottom. Two vertical stacks stand inside the square. Cars from both bay rows share the road around those stacks.

Use this order:

cyan top-left bay -> red top bay -> pale top bays -> green upper stack -> pink upper stack -> white center-left column -> cyan center-right column -> red lower blocker -> yellow lower-left -> orange lower-middle -> white lower-right

The top bays establish the direction of travel. The two center columns then open the square for the bottom row.

Clear The Roof And Interior

Begin with cyan on the upper-left. Red follows from the next active bay. Clear the remaining pale upper cars one bay at a time so the top road does not hold several unfinished colors.

Move green from the upper interior stack. Pink follows after green has cleared the left turn. These tall groups reduce the traffic above the square.

White is the next central column. Complete it before cyan starts on the right. Once both columns are organized, the large middle square should have a clear road around all four sides.

Lower Bay Sequence

Remove the red blocker near the lower edge. Then clear yellow from the left, orange from the middle, and white from the right. Waiting on white matters because it uses the same bottom-right corner as the central cyan column.

If the middle road is blocked, finish the center color already on it rather than opening another lower bay. If orange stalls, yellow has not cleared the bottom-left approach. If the final white group cannot turn, cyan remains on the right side.

The empty square is a checkpoint, not spare parking. A safe board repeatedly returns to an open perimeter after each batch. By completing the upper bays, central stacks, and lower bays in that order, Level 54 avoids sending traffic from both ends of the square at once.

White and cyan in the two center columns are the bridge to the lower phase. Complete white on the left, let the upper-left corner clear, and then send cyan around the right side. When both columns stop feeding cars, the square should be empty on all four edges.

The red blocker below is safe only in that state. Red opens the lower approach for yellow, yellow creates room for orange, and orange clears the path needed by the final white group. If the last white car stops, do not reopen a top bay; the obstruction is on the right side, usually a remaining cyan car from the center column.

That final right-side check separates a recoverable pause from a mixed-road restart.
