Six Upper Towers Over Two Long Shelf Platforms
Car Sort: Color Puzzle Level 240 places six layered towers across the top, two long shelf platforms in the middle, a short pink platform below them, and four reserve banks at the bottom. A stepped road connects all four zones. The upper towers reveal blue, white, orange, dark, purple, pink, red, green, brown, and yellow. The middle shelves later form blue and orange bands, while the bottom becomes pink, red, cyan, and covered columns.
The board is wide but the stepped road has only one useful turning lane. The route should shorten the upper towers, clear the top two platforms, use the pink platform as a transition, and delay bottom banks.
Recommended route:
upper-left blue/green -> upper white/orange -> upper dark/purple -> upper red/yellow -> first shelf mixed colors -> second shelf green/white -> long blue shelf -> long orange shelf -> pink platform -> bottom pink -> bottom red -> bottom cyan -> final brown/yellow towers
Move one complete batch before changing zones.
Shorten The Upper Bank From The Open Side
Begin with the leftmost exposed tower color. Complete blue or green and let the top road clear. White/orange follows from the next tower, then dark or purple. Red/yellow on the right should wait until the upper route resets.
Do not alternate among six towers. Adjacent entrances feed the same horizontal road.
Opening checks:
- one left tower layer clears;
- the top road empties;
- the next tower completes alone;
- the right-side towers remain parked until a corner opens.
If a top car stalls, finish its tower layer rather than releasing a shelf car.
Clear The Two Upper Shelf Platforms
The first long platform contains mixed red, white, cyan, purple, and covered layers. Clear the color nearest the road, then stop when the front changes. The second platform reveals green, white, yellow, and other groups.
Work from the top platform to the second. An empty upper shelf creates the turn needed by the row below.
Shelf rhythm:
- complete the road-facing color;
- wait for the stepped bend to clear;
- reveal the next layer;
- finish that color;
- leave a changed layer parked;
- move down only when the upper platform is quiet.
Do not open both platforms together. Their cars merge at the same middle bend.
Give Blue And Orange The Whole Middle Road
Late checkpoints show a full blue band on the upper middle shelf and a full orange band below it. These are long batches. Clear blue continuously, wait for the last car to leave, then clear orange.
Do not interrupt blue with a top yellow car or orange with a bottom red car. Each band needs repeated access to both center bends.
After orange, the stepped road should be open from the top bank to the pink platform. That is the transition into cleanup.
Use The Pink Platform Before Bottom Banks
The short lower platform becomes a full pink row. Clear it after blue and orange. Its cars enter directly above the bottom reserve mouths, so bottom counters should remain closed.
When pink finishes, wait for the bottom junction to empty. A visible gap under the platform confirms the lower phase can begin.
Open The Four Bottom Reserves
Pink, red, cyan, and a covered right bank form the late cleanup columns. Start from the column whose entrance faces the empty road. Complete one layer and stop when the color changes.
For each bank, reveal, finish, reset the road, inspect, and only then choose the next bank. Do not lower all counters together.
Brown and yellow may remain above as late tower layers. Return to them after the bottom stops feeding traffic.
Recovery And Completion Checks
If the upper road blocks, stop platforms and bottom banks and finish the active tower color. If the middle bend blocks, complete the current shelf band. If the bottom junction blocks, finish pink or the reserve color already there.
For mixed traffic, stop every release, finish the leading color, clear the second, and resume from the highest unfinished platform.
Three states confirm progress: upper towers shorten without mixing, the middle resolves into full blue/orange bands, and bottom pink/red/cyan activates after the short pink platform clears.
Avoid starting final brown/yellow above while cyan is still moving below. Both use the right half of the stepped road. Finish cyan, reset the route, and then return upward.
Audit Each Step Of The Road Before Changing Zones
The stepped road has three important bends: beneath the upper towers, between the two long platforms, and above the bottom banks. Before changing zones, confirm that the bend immediately below the old zone is empty. A car can leave its shelf but remain active around the next turn.
After a top batch, wait until the first bend clears before opening a platform. After blue or orange, wait until the middle bend clears before moving pink. After pink, wait until the lowest junction clears before opening a reserve counter.
If the upper bend is empty but the middle still holds a car, continue the shelf color rather than returning to a tower. If the lower bend is occupied, finish that platform or reserve batch before touching anything above. The occupied bend determines priority.
This three-bend audit is particularly useful late in the level, when the board looks spacious. It prevents a remaining brown/yellow tower layer from entering behind cyan or red cleanup traffic and keeps the final handoff orderly.
Level 240 is controlled by platform handoffs. Six towers establish the road, two covered shelves reveal controlled batches, blue and orange own the middle in sequence, pink bridges the cleanup, and lower counters wait for an empty junction. Preserve those phases and the wide board stays organized from opening to completion.
