Car Sort: Color Puzzle Level 257 route reference

Reading the crowded center

The left half begins with short mixed bands: blue and cyan near the top, white and purple in the middle, yellow and green below, and red or dark blue near the bottom. The right half is dominated by tall yellow and blue screwed groups.

Above are three multicolor columns containing cyan, purple, brown, orange, green, pink, and yellow. Below are three more sources dominated by red, blue, purple, and orange. Their entrances line up with the same outer road.

Fourteen counter spaces provide room for one large sequence. The board becomes dangerous only when the capacity is divided among too many colors.

Recommended route priority

Use:

cyan → white → brown → green → dark blue → yellow → bright blue → red → orange → pink and purple cleanup

Cyan and white clear compact rows on the left. Brown becomes available across the upper-middle. Green opens the center-lower section. Dark blue then creates space beside the two tall screwed columns.

Yellow and bright blue are the major central release colors. Red, orange, pink, and purple are concentrated in the outer supply columns and become safer after the center shrinks.

Opening the left-side rows

Start with cyan where it is exposed along the top-left bands and upper supply column. Complete a full group before tapping orange or pink above. Cyan's removal gives the top road a clean entrance.

White follows from the left-center. Its cars are close together and can travel around the left edge without using the right-side screw lane. Emptying white reveals more brown and green.

Brown should be consolidated next from the central rows and upper middle column. Keep the top-right corner free while brown descends. If orange is exposed behind it, leave orange until brown is complete.

Green occupies a lower central band and appears in an upper column. Finish the central green cars first, then use the upper matches. This opens a broad horizontal space directly left of the tall yellow group.

At the first checkpoint, the left half should show fewer short mixed rows and the outer road should be mostly clear. The screwed yellow and blue towers may still be intact.

Dark-blue foundation

Dark blue forms a long lower row and also appears near the upper-left. It is the foundation for the central transition because its removal opens the road beneath the screwed towers.

Complete dark blue as one continuous group. Do not begin bright blue from the right at the same time; the game treats their routes as separate traffic even when the colors look similar.

Once dark blue leaves, the center has enough space to accept the release from either yellow or bright blue. Check which screw counter is closer to completion and prepare matching slots.

Yellow and blue screw columns

Yellow is usually the first tall screw color to resolve because yellow cars also appear in the left-center and upper-right sources. Complete the visible yellow set, then take the released tower in a clean run.

Bright blue occupies the far-right central column. It should follow after yellow clears the neighboring lane. Pulling both columns together places two long streams on the same right edge.

Reserve three counter spaces before either screw opens. A tall column can feed several cars rapidly. If the release exposes a second color behind the first, leave that color until the current group completes.

The replay's middle state shows the right half organized into solid yellow and blue columns while the left becomes large clean bands. This is the crucial Level 257 checkpoint.

Outer red, orange, pink, and purple

Red is concentrated in the lower-left supply column and a central lower row. It can travel safely after dark blue leaves. Complete red before bringing orange from the lower middle.

Orange appears above and below the board. Wait until both entrances are clear, then combine the sources. Do not park orange at two opposite corners.

Pink is strongest in the upper-right column, while purple is supplied from the upper-left and lower-right. Finish pink first if its column is fully visible. Purple should be late because its pieces are more widely separated.

After the central yellow and blue towers are gone, the outer colors have an empty loop and no longer compete with screw releases.

Recovery strategies

If the top road is blocked, complete cyan, brown, orange, or pink according to the waiting car. Avoid tapping a bottom source until the top corner clears.

If the lower road is jammed, finish dark blue or red. Those long lower groups create the most space.

If yellow and bright blue are both active, stop all outer columns. Finish whichever screw tower has fewer cars remaining, clear the right side, then return to the other.

If the counter contains several small pairs, prioritize a color with a full central row. Center space is more valuable than exposing another outer stack.

If purple is stranded between entrances, finish pink or orange first to clear one corner, then bring all purple sources together.

For a restart, use visible milestones: cyan and white open the left; brown and green expose the center; dark blue clears the floor; yellow and bright blue resolve the screws; red, orange, pink, and purple finish around the open loop.

Car Sort Level 257 detailed route reference

The Level 257 solution depends on clearing short left-side bands before releasing the two tall right columns. Preserve the corners, separate dark blue from bright blue traffic, and save the widely distributed outer colors for the open-board phase. That turns a dense multientrance garage into a series of complete horizontal and vertical groups.
